Use self-awareness, self-management, empathy and relationship skills to work effectively with volunteers, leaders and community partners.

What you will learn

• Lesson 1: Knowing Yourself — Create a personal emotional-intelligence map identifying triggers, strengths, risks and two growth actions.
• Lesson 2: Managing Yourself Under Pressure — Work through an ACS scenario where time pressure and criticism are affecting a leader’s judgement.
• Lesson 3: Understanding Other People — Prepare and practise a listening conversation with a volunteer whose approach differs from yours.
• Lesson 4: Working Effectively Together — Create a one-page ACS team agreement covering communication, feedback, conflict and follow-up.
