What you will learn

• Lesson 1: First Response and DRSABCD — Talk through the first five minutes of an emergency from arrival to ambulance handover.
• Lesson 2: Bleeding, Shock and Burns — Explain the immediate steps for a volunteer with severe bleeding after a broken-glass injury.
• Lesson 3: Choking, Asthma and Anaphylaxis — Choose and explain the correct response for three different breathing-emergency scenarios.
• Lesson 4: Medical Emergencies and Readiness — Audit an ACS activity plan for trained coverage, equipment, emergency contacts and recordkeeping.
